The bridge between Glades and Hendry Counties over the Caloosahatchee, in Labelle, has been closed. This unscheduled repair will keep the bridge closed until 5pm today. This will affect the travel of one of Glades County buses and many of our employees.
Please look for updates on social media, and plan accordingly. This will affect both morning and afternoon routes for our Silver Bear route, bus 2503.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Good evening, parents.
This is an important transportation update for the Glades County School District for tomorrow, November 21st.
Due to several driver absences, we will be combining a few of the Moore Haven routes, and the West Glades routes may experience delays. Consequently, please expect morning pickups and afternoon drop-offs to take a little longer than usual.
We sincerely ask for your patience and cooperation in helping us get our students to and from school safely on this last day before the Thanksgiving Break.
Thank you.

Glades County School District is closely monitoring Tropical Storm Milton. Currently, the National Hurricane Center places Southwest Florida inside the cone of uncertainty for a Category 2 hurricane on Wednesday morning. Increased rainfall is expected to start Sunday and into Monday.
The School District will work with the Glades County Emergency Operations Center to receive the latest information, which will then be shared with you! As soon as a decision is made concerning school closures, we will announce via social media, District Website, and School Messenger/Thrillshare.

We want to inform you that, due to the anticipated winds from Hurricane Helene, we have made the decision to cancel school for tomorrow. This choice was not made lightly; the safety of our students is our top priority, and we believe this is the best course of action under the current circumstances.
We made this decision in consultation with Glades County Emergency Management to ensure the well-being of our students and staff. We understand that school closures can be disruptive, but we appreciate your understanding as we prioritize safety.
Classes will resume on Friday, and we encourage everyone to stay updated on the situation. Please ensure that your family stays safe and secure during this time.
Thank you for your support and cooperation.

MHES Parents/Guardians,
This is just a reminder that students are not to be dropped off in the front of the school. Please drop off in the parent drop off line at the back of the school. If you arrive after 8:15, you may park in the overflow lot and students can walk to the front.
Thank you!
